A group of 43 abortion-rights groups have pooled together to create a coalition aimed at stripping out the Stupak amendment from the House-passed version of the health care reform bill.

The coalition also announced a D.C. lobbying day on Dec. 2 and a "national week of action" for the week after the Thanksgiving holiday, which is when the Senate will begin debating health care reform legislation on the floor.

Among the groups involved are Planned Parenthood, Emily's List and NARAL Pro-Choice America.
