            <title>American Chemistry Council Boosts Team</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>The American Chemistry Council hired <strong>Don Thoren</strong> as managing director of the chemical industry lobbying group's newly created political mobilization department.</p>

<p>Thoren is to build the new field-oriented, campaign style department which aims to bolster the American Chemistry Council's relationships with lawmakers in their home states and districts.</p>

<p>For the past eight years, Thoren has been the district director of state and government affairs and the director of political outreach and communications for Altria Client Services. Prior to that, he worked at SWR Worldwide and the National Restaurant Association. </p>

<p>ACC also hired <strong>Tre' Riddle</strong> as director of federal affairs. Riddle most recently was the legislative director for Rep. <strong>Gregory Meeks,</strong> D-N.Y. and before that worked for Democratic Representatives <strong>Emanuel Cleaver</strong>, D-Mo., <strong>Juanita Millender-McDonald</strong>, D-Calif., <strong>Robert Andrews</strong>, D-N.J. and <strong>Robert Scott</strong>, D-Va.</p>]]></description>
