Roll Call reports today that House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., is seeking $23 million in earmarks for homeland security projects at the small Mississippi college that he attended, although the school, Tougaloo College, could not explain what the earmarks are for and does not yet appear to have the capacity to provide the services that Thompson wants to fund.

I think there is the reason why  House Homeland Security Chairman, Bennie Thompson said that he was seeking $23 million in earmarks for homeland security projects at the small Mississippi college that he attended was to be able to have extra funds for himself. Because if he really wanted to help the Tougaloo College that he attended to, in the first place, the school itself could have known it and the administrators of the school should have been able to explain where the earmarks should be for.

First of all, thank you on the update on Paul Singer's story. Then, this is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very difficult to setup your own blog? I'm not very techincal however i can figure things out fairly fast. I'm thinking about establishing my very own but I am not sure how to start. Do you have any ideas or even suggestions? Jerrell, off the shoulder tops site.
